Calendula officinalis also known as 'English' or 'Pot' Marigold. Found in many gardens worldwide. Calendula has been used for centuries for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities. It has been used so much in Russia that it has the nickname of Russian Penicillin. Products containing Calendula have been used as standby for health professionals, such as midwives, for many years.
Suitable for vegetarians.
1g of ointment contains the following ingredient: 0.20ml of tincture from Calendula herb (equivalent to 0.094g Calendula officinalis L. Herb). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 90% v/v. Also contains Wool Fat (Lanolin), Yellow Beeswax, Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil and Wool Alcohols.
For application to the skin. Wash hands before and after use.
Adults, the elderly and children over 6 years of age
Clean the affected area and apply directly or on a dry dressing two or three times daily.
If the symptoms worsen or persist after one week, or if there are signs of skin infection, a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted.
